Is HolidayGrow microplastic?

Not a permanent plastic granulate

No. HolidayGrow is made of a superabsorbent based on potassium polyacrylate, which swells into a soft water gel after watering.

These are not solid plastic beads that stay in the soil permanently as microplastic.

Gel instead of plastic particles

In the substrate, a gel forms that stores water and then releases it again. This gel changes its structure over the course of use and slowly breaks down over time.
